WP GayZette
The Wilmington Pride Newsletter is a way for Wilmington residents and their adjacent community members to connect through people, places and events. The issues for this newsletter will upload every month on the 5th as a way to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. On November 5th, 2010, community members gathered at Mixto’s Restaurant and hashed out a simple plan to create and organization to meet the needs of the GLBTQIA (gay) community. This has been successful by uniting leaders, activists, and businesses together to improve the gay community as a whole. To get the newsletter directly emailed to you please submit below. You don’t have to answer about your Name, AGE or SEXUAL ORIENTATION however I think it would be great to know who we serve and this will only been seen by a select few.

I’m so glad something like this exists. I’ll have to let my friends know about it(in case they don’t already know).
Why don’t you start something there??? Its kinda of scary and its hard work but once you start going, it gets easier as you go. The best thing to do is start with the local bars and advertise a meeting or event and try to rally a group of friends and community members and then talk about resources available in the community to start something. There is a drag queen named Kimberly Delorian that wanted to start something….not sure how far she got.
